FLU NOTICE:

All staff members will be wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the time of vaccination. The guidance for PPE for flu clinics is being regularly updated and we will be using the most up to date guidance at the time of the clinics.

We ask that you please wear a face covering when attending your appointment and request that you do not attend more than 5 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure we are able to maintain social distancing.

Patients eligible for the flu vaccine:

We will firstly be inviting patients aged OVER 65 years, and those who are under 65 years WITH health conditions making them eligible for the vaccine. We will also be including all the eligible children.

Appointments for flu vaccinations for patients aged 50 to 64 years are now available.
These appointments are now available to book at reception. Again please only ring the practice after 2pm each day. Please ensure we have an up to date mobile number, so we can keep you updated if necessary.

We will continue to monitor and update you with more information nearer the time. Please follow our website for the most up to date information.

COVID-19 Vaccine

Following extensive trials, the first safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine has been approved in the UK and is now available to priority groups.

Vaccinations are being delivered according to priority groups identified by the Joint Committee of Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). The vaccinations may not take place at your GP practice, but rather a local vaccination service (led by GPs, practice nurses and community pharmacists) who are responsible for delivering the vaccine to people in your community.

When you are eligible  to receive the vaccination, you will receive an invitation to come book an appointment. This may be via the phone, or through a letter either from your GP or the national booking system.

We know lots of people will be eager to get protected but we are asking people not to contact us to get an appointment as you will not be able to get one until you are contacted.
