Woodseats Medical Centre

Disabled access

Two disabled parking bays are available in the staff carpark at the rear of the building.

The surgery has disabled access ie: a lift into the main practice on the first floor, also there is two disabled toilets in the practice on the first floor and one on the 2nd floor with the necessary grab bars and emergency pull cord.  There are ‘Please ring for attention’ bells at a lower level for wheelchair users on the entrance door and reception desk. The outside bell is connected to an intercom system linked to the Reception desk.  The reception desk has a low section to one side for wheelchair users.

For those with hearing impairments, there is a Practice mobile phone for patients to send a text message for any access to services, such as GP appointments, prescription requests etc. We routinely run searches for new patients or new diagnosis’s and send them a letter of how to access this service.  We also have a hearing induction loop on the front reception desk.

Prams and Pushchairs – For health and safety reasons we cannot have prams and pushchairs taken into the main part of the building. The only exception to this is for severely disabled children who require special pram/wheelchairs.

Guide dogs and Hearing dogs are allowed into the practice.
